Cameron is a Sustainable Community School (SCS), a model that is built on seven guiding principles and six pillars.  One of the principles is racial justice and equity.  This workshop will be co-facilitated by the school principal (Michael Herring) and SCS resource coordinator (Emony Tate), and will provide school leaders with resources and toolkit for facilitating grade level team meeting on the topic of anti-racism.  The goal is to support teachers with self reflection, collaboration with peers on this work, holding each other accountable to the work, make connections to the larger context, gathering authentic input from students about what they need, and affirming our students.  This workshop will also highlight ways that school leaders and community partners can work together to make real progress towards common goals.  Michael Herring has been a principal in CPS for 10 year.  Emony Tate is a graduate of Cameron and works for our SCS community partner, Blocks Together.
