2024 CPS Summer Leadership Institute (SLI)

DESCRIPTION: Support high quality instruction and in your Pre-K Classrooms by learning more about the using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS™)! In this session we will explore the tools usage, components, and review reports / plan for Pre-K teacher support! This session is best suited for school leaders less familiar with the tool, but can be helpful for all who support Pre-K Classrooms.

Objectives:
Introduction to ExceleRate Scoring and importance / connections to high quality instruction
Deepen school leader knowledge of the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS™) & how it’s used for CPS PK Program quality
Explore the domains of the CLASS Observation Tool to understand typical areas of strength and areas of growth for PK classrooms
Review CLASS report and plan for teacher support based on scores
