The "Enabling Access for All" session empowers school leaders with the knowledge and skills to leverage digital tools for creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment. By focusing on various accessibility tools and best practices, participants will gain hands-on experience with technologies that support diverse learning needs and promote equity in education. This enhanced understanding and application of digital accessibility will directly contribute to improved student achievement by ensuring that all students, regardless of their learning differences, have equal access to educational resources and opportunities for success.
Our session will begin with our "Why" as well as how the current structure of "Peer Learning Walks" was creatively and intentionally designed and promoted by our school-based instructional leadership teams, in collaboration with our Network ISL, as a lever to provide reflective job-embedded professional learning for our teachers. During this session, we will share the nuts and bolts of how we utilize the structure of Peer Learning Walks to visit ALL classrooms with ALL teachers, providing a relevant and inclusive next step from our Network Rigor Walks that embraces our school priorities. We will address some of the initial obstacles including time, scheduling, as well as the human aspects of teacher apprehension and vulnerability. Most importantly we will share what we have learned as well as some of the unexpected celebrations during our journey over this past school year.
HERE (coming soon) are our Google Slides from our SLI Session.
And, please feel free to click HERE to share any questions that you might have regarding our session or the Peet Learning Walk process or structure.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the collegial observation framework used at Chappell Elementary and its significance in fostering professional growth and collaboration among educators.
Participants will develop actionable strategies to effectively implement and support the framework within their respective schools.
